The perfect Homestay for my Internship

[ad_1]

Tell us about your homestay experience.

The difference between a home stay accommodation and other traditional accommodations in my experience is that staying at homestay actually feels like living at home. The hosts are really kind and helpful, it felt like I was living with my extended family. The room was better than what it looked like in the pictures. It was a very comfortable experience overall and I had an amazing time!

What did you do in Sutton?

Sutton is in Zone 6 of London, which makes it a part of Greater London and not the city of London. I was doing an internship at a property law firm in the area, which is why I decided to stay there. The high street in Sutton was amazing as it was a mix of family run restraunts/ shops and big chains. It is also close to central london than I thought it was, just a 30 min overground train ride away from Victoria. I enjoyed eating at the family run restraunts after work as the food was quite authentic and prices reasonable. The taste of the food in these restraunts cannot be replicated in the commercialised restraunts of central london.

Any tips or advice for other travellers?

It is a good place to stay if you want to find a comfortable accommodation at a low price. Definitely eat at some of the restaurants in the high street as most of them are family run and therefore the food is quite authentic in comparison to big chains. Make use of the amazing location and convenient travel links and venture out to different areas of London.

How was your experience with your host?

My hosts were amazing! Most evenings when I got home from work, we’d sit and have a chat about various topics ranging from life experiences to cultural diversity. The house was really neat and clean, the room was better than the pictures. They recommended some great places to visit both in Sutton and Central London. It was a privilege to stay with them!

Went for one of the longest running plays, Lion King over the weekend.

Took a tube to central london and  walked along the Thames river one evening after work.
