Celebrating New Year’s together with my host Misa was an unforgettable experience! It was a beautiful blend of traditions, laughter, and creating lasting memories.
My experience with my host was exceptional. Her warmth, hospitality, and willingness to share their traditions made me feel like part of their family. From participating in traditional customs to sharing our own cultural practices, it was a true cultural exchange that enriched my journey. I had a chance to wear traditional kimono and Misa joined me. We spent lovely day in Nara.
Most notably, my homestay experience differed greatly from my day-to-day life. It provided a glimpse into a world steeped in traditions, values, and practices that were new and enlightening. The immersion into a different lifestyle was eye-opening and expanded my perspective in ways I hadn’t imagined.
